Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior SOC Analyst to join our 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC). This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about cybersecurity and eager to develop their skills in threat monitoring, detection, and response.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts from SIEM and other security tools (e.g., IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
  • Perform initial triage and classification of security events.
  • Escalate potential incidents according to SOC procedures.
  • Document findings and support incident response activities.
  • Assist in the maintenance and tuning of SOC tools and rule sets.
  • Stay up to date on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and other IT teams for threat resolution and analysis.
  • Assist with the planning, execution, and monitoring of phishing simulation campaigns

Qualifications

  • IT-related diploma or higher certification is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts such as malware, phishing, and threat intelligence.
  • Knowledge of SIEM platforms is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with labs, certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a shift-based environment, including nights/weekends if needed.

Nice to Have

  • Previous internship or practical experience in a security-related role.
  • Scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with log analysis and common log formats.
